Thanks to our own warehouse in the port of Hamburg, we reduce the number of transport interfaces and simplify the processes involved in sea freight forwarding. For you, this means everything from a single source. This includes our own pre- and post-carriage, integrated customs and insurance services, and packaging and order picking to the highest standards. Email or telephone, a dedicated contact person will take the time to help you.
PS: From and to Asia, there is also the option of switching from sea to land and transferring urgent freight to the railways by China train.
Our aim is to offer optimal transport solutions at market-driven conditions, also for sea freight. You can rely on our forwarding agency’s pre- and post-carriage solutions. We ensure that the required loading space and the appropriate equipment are available in a short time.
If a full container is not an option for you, our consolidated containers are available to you at sea as a cost-effective and more sustainable option. This means that your freight can reach almost any destination in the world.
Too long, too wide, too heavy? Not everything fits into a container. Our sea freight specialists are happy to organise the transport of challenging oversized loads and take care of the complete management at sea, ensuring that even complex freight arrives easily.
To manage the transport of sea freight even more efficiently, our freight forwarding company has its own logistics and storage facilities in the port of Hamburg. We store, pack, and pick your goods there according to your requirements. Our partners around the world offer this service, too.

Frequently asked questions about sea freight
Depending on the route and distance, your goods and merchandise will take anywhere from a few days to several weeks or months to arrive. For large quantities or heavy goods over long distances, cost-efficient sea freight is particularly worthwhile. Cargo ships also offer the option of transporting extremely large quantities at once.
Despite the use of heavy fuel oil, the industry is developing cleaner technologies. Ports and shipping lanes have a lower environmental impact than the construction of new roads or airports. Nevertheless, optimising fuel and solving environmental problems such as ballast water and noise remain a challenge for more sustainable sea freight. So, there is still a lot to do.
To make the shipping route as efficient as possible, we rely on consolidated containers, in which various goods and products are transported together. This maximises the already enormous capacity of container ships – and reduces CO2 emissions per unit transported.
The biggest advantage of sea freight is the significantly lower price compared to air freight.
In addition, containers can be used for a range of different transport requirements. This means that small product consignments can be transported by sea just as easily as large freight.
Of course, it is also important to clearly distinguish between hazardous and non-hazardous goods when shipping by sea. You don’t have to worry about the correct declaration. Our employees know exactly which forms have to be on board.
With sea freight, goods of all types and sizes are transported by ship. General cargo, bulk cargo or containers travel from continent to continent in this way.
The only motto that applies here is: “Dat geiht glatt as’n Tüddelband.” Rough translation: As a sea freight forwarder, we will of course take care of all your paperwork. Pro forma and commercial invoices, packing lists, delivery notes, bills of lading, any hazardous goods certificates, and a certificate of origin – everything’s running smoothly.
For the Asian region, the China train offers an alternative to sea and air freight. This rail transport is twice as fast as sea freight, 50% cheaper than air freight and also impresses in terms of CO2 consumption.
