SUSTAINABILITY AT ZUFALL – AN INTERVIEW WITH PETER MÜLLER-KRONBERG

At ZUFALL, we have made it our goal to change the logistics industry. As a family business, we think across generations. This includes acting sustainably and constantly scrutinising our actions.
For us, however, sustainability is not just ecological – it is a triad of the dimensions of people, planet and profit. We are convinced that we can only be successful in the long term if we harmonise these three dimensions, despite the tensions. We asked our CEO, Peter Müller-Kronberg, about this.

SUSTAINABILITY AT ZUFALL – SUSTAINABLE BUILDING FOR DISTRIBO

“We are not relying on the usual standards in the industry but are rather building something of quality that will last a long time, pays off in the long term, and really makes sense,” explains Ringo Bernhardt, Head of Construction and Projects at ZUFALL. “I am sure that my grandchildren will also benefit from this way of building.”

A VISION FOR THE FUTURE OF GOETTINGEN

Let’s imagine Göttingen with less traffic, no smelly exhaust fumes and more space for people and nature. In short: greener, quieter, simply more liveable. A vision of the future that won’t come true any time soon, do you think? We at ZUFALL are firmly convinced that it can work. And we have a plan to realise this vision.

ZUFALL DEPLOYS BIOGAS TRUCKS IN HESSE AND NORTH RHINE-WESTPHALIA

ZUFALL logistics group uses biogas trucks in regular transport services in Hesse and North Rhine-Westphalia. The four Iveco vehicles were purchased by ZUFALL’s long-standing partners and transport companies AY Trans GmbH & Co KG and Sari Transporte GmbH & Co KG from Haiger and have been on the road for ZUFALL logistics group since the beginning of the year. By using the biogas trucks, CO₂ emissions, fine dust pollution and noise emissions can be significantly reduced.

SOLAR ENERGY FOR HAIGER

Since January 2020, a photovoltaic system has been in operation at the ZUFALL branch in Haiger, which the logistics company will use to generate around a third of the energy required for its own needs in an environmentally friendly manner. The infrastructure for regenerative energy is part of the expansion of the branch, which has included the construction of a new transhipment hall and an office wing since 2018.
