The cargo plane with a payload of around 100 tonnes flew to the Afghan capital Kabul where it landed on schedule this morning after a crew change in Baku.
The logistics experts from ZUFALL Düsseldorf and the Air Freight Division not only took care of the air freight component with the full charter flight but were also supported by their colleagues from Haiger in the land transport of the equipment to Frankfurt Hahn Airport. The respirators had to be picked up in Italy.
Ten trucks were loaded in Florence and sent over the Brenner Pass to Germany. The customs specialists from ZUFALL also took care of all the paperwork.
With the help of the respirators and the protective equipment, lives can now be saved in Afghanistan in the future – not only those of the more than 31,000 corona-infected people officially reported so far.
