For strategic reasons, the Eschwege site was closed “with one eye smiling and one eye crying” as of December 31, 2020″. The employees at the logistics site in Honer Straße had been serving logistics customers for 31 years. Since autumn 2020, the move from Eschwege to the Siekanger Logistics Centre in Göttingen has been proceeding step by step. Some employees* could also be integrated into the Göttingen locations. “We are happy that both customers and employees have been able to move to the Göttingen logistics locations,” says Lena Bermond, Head of Contract Logistics Göttingen, “The end of the location in Eschwege represents a new beginning in Göttingen.”
New perspectives are also opening up in the cooperation of ZUFALL logistics group with a satisfied customer. Thanks to the many years of good cooperation with the Göttingen-based company NextPharma and the customer’s expressed desire for growth, ZUFALL will in future provide additional capacity near the ZUFALL Group headquarters in Robert-Bosch-Breite. Until now, the expert for pharmaceutical manufacturing, development and packaging of oral solid dosage forms and service provider for clinical, analytical and microbiological studies was serviced at the ZUFALL warehouse in Weender Landstraße.
In future, NextPharma Göttingen will have a refurbished hall with a storage area of 3780 square metres for 3700 storage spaces. In the course of the second half of the year, the customer will then also be able to put a sample pulling booth into operation. This state-of-the-art analysis station will make many transports superfluous.
“With the new warehouse in Robert-Bosch-Breite, where NextPharma Göttingen will first store packaging materials and then also pharmaceutical products, we are expanding our many years of good cooperation and investing in a joint future,” says David Cuckson, Head of Customer Advisory & Marketing, who is pleased with this forward-looking decision. Dr. Georg Althaus, NextPharma Göttingen management, is also positive about this intensification of the business relationship: “The newly acquired storage capacities not only secure our continuous growth course in the field of pharmaceutical supply, but also show that we can find flexible and customised solutions in a strictly regulated area such as pharmaceutical storage with our strong and long-standing logistics partner.”
