At ZUFALL logistics group in Haiger, there were two special occasions to celebrate recently.
First, the expansion of our transshipment warehouse by 2,076 square metres has been completed, enabling us to process even more orders in the future and exceed the current number of shipments per day. Additionally, Transland Spedition, which has been part of ZUFALL logistics group since 2007, celebrated its 45th anniversary with a big party attended by about 600 guests, including employees, their families, and our customers.
The event kicked off with speeches by Maja Heimerl and Meik Hilk, followed by Helmut Schneider, 1st City Councillor of Haiger, and Alexander Cunz, Deputy Managing Director of the Lahn Dill Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Thomas Lotter, the architect of the transshipment hall extension, then presented a floor plan of the hall as a gift. Everyone praised the significant developments of recent years and the prospect of a continued successful future.
Transland Spedition’s success story began in 1979 in a former beverage store with three employees. Today, after 45 years, the branch now has a transshipment area of 9,000 square metres and employs 210 people. With the 2,076-square-metre expansion, the course has been set for the future, and the story is far from over.
Meik Hilk, who manages the branch together with Maja Heimerl, was enthusiastic: ‘We are very pleased that we can now put the new hall into operation on short notice. It stands for our continuous growth and our commitment to our customers.’
The celebration took place on Saturday, August 24th, in bright sunshine. Guests enjoyed a range of activities, including an exciting gondola ride by crane, during which they were able to take in the breathtaking views of the entire company premises and the surrounding countryside.
There was plenty to keep the younger visitors entertained, too: they were able to drive mini forklifts, let off steam on the bouncy castle, or show off their football skills at a goal-shooting contest.
The adults had the opportunity to learn more about the expansion during tours of the new warehouse and office space, and those who felt like it could take a ride in the ZUFALL electric truck.
Health-conscious guests had the opportunity to take part in an ‘active break’, which is regularly offered in Haiger. Here they were able to experience short active breaks and courses that are integrated into the working day to promote the well-being of employees.
In addition to the varied entertainment programme, important future topics were addressed as well. Guests were able to find out about our sustainability projects, which form a central part of our corporate strategy.
Peter Müller-Kronberg, representing the management of ZUFALL logistics group, took the opportunity to personally congratulate the branch. He emphasised the significancy of celebrating 4.5 decades of the company’s existence. ‘This is a very important part of our corporate culture – creating connections that last for years and celebrating them with everyone,’ he added. This culture of togetherness and long-term cooperation is a key success factor for the entire ZUFALL group.
The bottom line of the day: an all-around successful event with numerous activities and great guests. ‘The fact that so many came is a great sign of appreciation for us as an employer and service provider,’ Maja Heimerl summed up with satisfaction.
With this double reason for joy, we look ahead optimistically to the future and look forward to reac
