At the end of November 2023, Team Trans Hamburg GmbH, as a company of our ZUFALL logistics group, received the “Hamburger Familiensiegel”, the Hamburg Family Seal, at a ceremony in the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce.
Along with ZUFALL Hamburg, over 70 other companies from industry, trade, services and crafts were honoured.
THE CRITERIA
The award was presented by the “Hamburg Alliance for Families” – an initiative of the Hamburg Senate, the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce and the Hamburg Chamber of Crafts.
The award is given to small and medium-sized companies that are committed to family-friendly work organisation. With just over forty ZUFALLers, our Hamburg ZUFALL branch is one of them.
The proportion of parents at the Hamburg site is now almost 50%, with almost 30 kids of all ages raging from babies to adults. The majority are of kindergarten age.
However, the seal not only takes into account employees’ children, but also relatives such as parents and partners – the “family”. Ultimately, it is about the entire private environment, i.e. whether the conditions have been created to ensure that the two important topics of “work” and “life” are compatible.
How family-friendly is ZUFALL Hamburg?
ZUFALL Hamburg wanted to know the exact answer and submitted an audit request to the Hamburg Alliance for Families: Are we on the right track compared to other companies in terms of work-life balance? Or do we even need to tighten up?
After a preliminary review, an authorised person conducted an audit lasting around two hours. Questions and documents were used to check whether we fulfil the criteria for the seal. And what can we say – the audit gave us a very good report card in this respect!
