\n\t\t\t\t\tSince January 2020, a photovoltaic system has been in operation at the ZUFALL branch in Haiger, which the logistics company will use to generate around a third of the energy required for its own needs in an environmentally friendly manner. Right on time for the start of the new year, the photovoltaic system with an area of around 1,000 m\u00b2 can begin its work. It is to provide a good third of the energy required and thus reduce the CO2 emissions caused by electricity consumption by around 47.5 tonnes. The measure thus follows the environmental strategy of managing partner Peter M\u00fcller-Kronberg. The investment costs of more than 100,000 euros will be amortised over ten years through the energy cost savings. Meik Hilk, who has been managing the branch together with Maja Heimerl since October last year and is responsible for the photovoltaic project, explains, \u201eLooking to the future, we want to cover as much of our electricity needs as possible with solar energy in the next few years.\u201c To make this possible, the plant has already been built in such a way that an extension on the second half of the new transhipment hall roof is possible.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The state-of-the-art transhipment hall and the construction of a new office building with offices and social rooms, changing rooms and showers were planned in the first half of 2018 and have been realised in three stages since mid-2018. Finally, the solar cells were installed in November 2019. The entire photovoltaic project was planned and implemented in cooperation with a service provider from the region.<\/p>\n
